Sporting have confirmed they have an agreement with Chelsea for the transfers of Geovany Quenda and Dario Essugo.
The Premier League club could pay up to £41.9m for Quenda, beating Manchester United to the teenager’s signature.
The 17-year-old broke into the Sporting first team under current United boss Ruben Amorim this season and will stay with them until 2026.
Essugo, a 20-year-old defensive midfielder currently on loan with Las Palmas, will cost £18.5m. He will join the Blues this summer.
Quenda is expected to put pen to paper on a seven-year deal with an option for an additional 12 months and has already passed his medical.
Essugo, made his first-team debut a week after turning 16 in 2021, has also already undergone his medical.
