Trump, wife attend church service ahead of inauguration


Donald Trump and his wife Melania have arrived for a church service in Washington a few hours before he is set to be sworn in for a second term as President of the United States.

The service is being held at St John’s Episcopal Church near the White House.

Vice President-elect JD Vance and his wife Usha, as well as other Trump family members including his son Barron, joined the incoming President in attending the service as is customary before the inauguration.

According to several media reports, in addition to Trump’s adviser Elon Musk, other prominent figures from the tech industry were also present, including Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerberg, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, as well as Apple chief executive Tim Cook, and Google chief executive Sundar Pichai.

The Trumps are due to briefly meet outgoing President Joe Biden and his wife Jill in the White House following the service.
