The Governing Council of Yobe State University has named Professor Bukar Jamri as the Acting Vice-Chancellor and Malam Garba Ahmadu Girgir as the Acting Registrar.
Hajia Uwani Zainab Mamuda, the university’s Director of Information, made this announcement in a statement released on Wednesday.
The statement indicates that Alhaji Ahmed Mustapha Goniri, Esq., the Chairman of the Yobe State University Governing Council, validated the appointments after a special meeting of the Council.
“The statement indicated that Professor Jamri will assume the role of Acting Vice-Chancellor starting February 13, 2025, after the current Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mala Mohammed Daura, concludes their tenure.”
Malam Garba Ahmadu Girgir will take on the responsibilities as Registrar in acting capacity without delay.
According to the statement, these appointments are intended to guarantee the efficient and seamless functioning of the university throughout this transition phase.
