Vigilant youths of Ogbaru have orchestrated the arrest of five youths who have allegedly been aiding secessionist elements in their attacks on the local government.
Though Ogbaru has been plagued with violence as a result of oil mining activities and bunkering in the area, suspected Biafra secessionists have also been invading and damaging properties there.
There have in recent times been attacks on police stations, local government secretariat and even an attack on UN officials who visited the area.
But on Monday morning, youths of the area mobilized and apprehended some of the perpetuators.
One arrested bandit, who was described as Eselu was said to be responsible for most of the attacks, including inviting bandits who posed as freedom fighters.
As of the time of filing this report, no report has been issued by the state police command.
