However, he lost the bet after waging a sum of ₦950,000,000 on Ngannou, leaving him in a massive loss. The Canadian musician shared the lost ticket on his Instagram account and popular Nigerian Afro Beat artist Davido responded to the loss.

The Musician replied in the comment section, “Ur ticket don cut,” the afro-beats, playfully taunting Drake.
Interestingly, this isn’t Drake’s first foray into sports betting. In March 2023, he celebrated a betting victory when he placed his bets on Nigerian fighter Israel Adesanya to defeat Alex Pereira at UFC 287, walking away with a substantial $2.7 million after Adesanya claimed the middleweight title.
