WHERE DO YOU CONSIDER HOME?

“I consider home London, I was born there, grew up there, moved away for a bit and I am back there now. I consider home Central London, around Hyde Park, which is a nice place to be. I really enjoy spending time there and it’s where I grew up.”

OUTSIDE OF MOTORSPORT, WHICH SPORTSPERSON DO YOU ADMIRE?

“I would say Tiger Woods. I recently got into a bit of golf, it’s a lot harder than it looks. I think the mental skills required and the ability to perform year on year on year especially in a sport where it’s so close it’s quite impressive.”

WHO ARE YOU FRIENDS WITH ON THE GRID?

“I’m quite close with my teammate Victor Martins of course. I spend a lot of time in the truck with him, and on the grid, Paul Aron and I were teammates last year, as well as Dino Beganovic in F3, so I would say those three.”

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE CHEAT MEAL?

“It has got to be a burger, a really good burger, especially from Honest Burgers, it’s really really good.”

IF YOU COULD GO BACK TO ANY MOMENT IN YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

“I think when I was announced as a Williams Academy Driver. I was 16 at the time, it was a really big thing back then and it’s kickstarted my road to F1 and it was my first year in F3, so it was really a big thing then.”

IF YOU WEREN’T A DRIVER, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

“I think I’d be involved in architecture. I’m quite artistic and I really enjoyed it at school and I kind of carried it on, I’ve got a lot of interest in it. I’ve got nothing drawn with me at the moment though.”

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIE AND TV SERIES?

“I’m watching The Gentlemen on Netflix at the moment, probably not my favourite but it’s what I am watching currently and it’s really good. I’m not going to say what episode I’m on because you might spoil it.”

WHAT WAS THE LAST SONG YOU LISTENED TO?

“It was on the way here this morning when I was stuck in traffic, it was Lovesick by Mura Masa and ASAP Rocky. It’s a good song.”

WHAT’S THE FUNNIEST/MOST EMBARASSING THING YOU’VE DONE?

“In F4, I crashed in the pit lane when I was coming out of the garage, which was really bad. I did not do it recklessly, but it was really slippery, and I released the clutch and slowly understeered into the pit wall in front of the team and everyone else on a test day. They weren’t very impressed.”

YOUR FAVOURITE RACING MEMORY?

“I think it is back in 2016 I won the Kartmasters British Grand Prix, which was really cool at the time. My first big win in karting and it’s a day I’ll never forget.”

WHAT IS YOUR MOST TREASURED POSSESSION?

“Probably my passport, we travel a lot so I can’t really go anywhere without it.”

BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE EVER BEEN GIVEN?

“That’s a hard one. I think always trust your gut. I think kind of trust the process and trust what you are doing provided it has got you to a certain point. I think believing in what you do and how you approach things has always worked and it’s what you know the best.”

FAVOURITE PLACE YOU’VE BEEN AND ONE PLACE YOU’D LIKE TO VISIT?

“Racing wise probably Melbourne. It’s a cool track but the city is really cool and because it’s so far away we obviously spend a bit of time down there. I really want to go to Tokyo. I want to go to Japan so that would be cool.”
