Mr Peter Obi, 2023 labour party presidential candidate, visited the College of Nursing Sciences at St. Joseph Hospital in Adazi-Nnukwu, Anambra State, donating N10 million in financial support for the training of more nurses.
According to him in a statement via X on Tuesday, the move underscores his commitment to investing in critical areas of human development.
Obi stated, “In continuation of my commitment to contributing to building a better society through investments in critical areas of human development, I visited the College of Nursing Sciences, St. Joseph Hospital Adazi-Nnukwu, and gave them my support of N10 million, for the training of more nurses.”

The former Anambra governor said that the investment in the nursing college aligns with his longstanding advocacy for more aggressive investments in education and health, particularly in the training of healthcare workers.
Different health organisations have continued to warn about the impending shortage of health care workers, especially nurses, on the global level. By investing in their training, we will be able to produce enough to meet our needs and contribute in managing the global shortage,” he stated
