Premier League Final day: League Winners Manchester City losses to Brentford FC

Shocking results from the final day of the Premier League with teams struggling to survive relegation briks survival.

League winners Man City lost to Brentford with  Ethan Pinnock’s scoring the only goal to beat the League Champions.

Thomas Frank’s side needed to beat City and hope Aston Villa and Tottenham failed to win against Brighton and Leeds respectively. And while Ethan Pinnock’s late strike meant the Bees held their side of the bargain, both Villa and Spurs won, meaning the Bees remain in ninth.

It was a goal that Brentford deserved after dominating the chances all afternoon, as City lost for the first time since their defeat to Tottenham on February 5.

Pep Guardiola’s side, who left Erling Haaland on the bench and Kevin De Bruyne at home, only had half-chances for most of the game but could have snatched a draw in stoppage-time.

However the match ended on a 1-0 in favour of the underdogs.

In other games Liverpool drew with Relegation side Southampton 4-4.

A Armstrong (64’64th minute) Southampton fought had coming from a 2-0 nill lead in the first half to end the game in draw.

Man United who already quified for next season’s champion league defeated Fulham by 2-1 while Everton defeated Bournemouth by a goal to nil, as Chelsea came from behind to draw 1-1 with Newcastle United.

With today’s game finally deciding the Premier League table, all is now set for next year’s season.
